A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “We can confirm that investigators are aware of possible sightings in the Bristol area and are investigating them.”
In an appeal launched over the weekend, the missing pups are said to have been taken from the house on Vinecroft Road in the Wanswell area of Berkeley by unknown perpetrators.
The two month old cockapoos are described as a chocolate brown tri-color boy who has yellow eyebrows and markings on his legs, a chocolate girl with a tiny white spot on her chest, a chocolate girl with white hind paws and white on her chest, and a black girl with ginger eyebrows, a ginger muzzle, ginger legs and white on the chest.
A Twitter post from the Avon and Somerset Police Department said, “Can you help our colleagues at @Glos_Police with your appeal below? Sightings have been reported in the Bristol area.
“Please call them with any information that may aid the investigation.”
Reports on social media have placed the pups in the Little Stoke area and sold them out of a trunk since the theft, but it is unknown if these are the sightings that are haunting Avon and Somerset.
Gloucestershire Police are asking anyone who has information or has witnessed suspicious activity to report by completing an online form citing Incident 273, August 28th.
