Resorts World Las Vegas introduces 3 robotic puppies to welcome guests to property

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Resorts World adds three robot pups to its innovative welcome when you enter the Las Vegas Strip’s newest property.

Working with Aibo and built with the latest technology from Sony, Resorts World Las Vegas featured these AI-powered pups in the Conrad Las Vegas lobby.

The pups – Sinatra, Stardust, and Elvis – are housed in custom-made playpens and greet guests when they enter the property.

According to the resort, the autonomous companions are at an early stage of development and ready to learn in daily dealings with guests and to build their own unique personality.

The pups are brought to life through a variety of sensors and actuators. Aibo’s adaptable behavior is enabled by deep learning AI technology.

“This collaboration with Aibo further enhances our commitment to integrating technology across the resort and providing a special experience for our guests,” said Scott Sibella, President of Resorts World Las Vegas.

With lifelike facial expressions and a dynamic range of exercise, the dogs in the lobby will bring fun and joy to all guests when they arrive at the luxury resort.

The robot puppy’s body language is expressed through hundreds of patterns, combinations of eye, ear, and tail movements, and various vocal sounds.

“We can’t wait to see the joy these robot pups bring to our visitors when they arrive in our lobby at Conrad Las Vegas,” added Sibella.
