The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando has more dogs coming up for adoption soon thanks to Elsa.

The Animal Alliance said in a Facebook post that employees made the quick decision on Tuesday to go to Dixie County and rescue 28 dogs that were in Elsa’s way.

The post said the dogs came from kennels that were exposed to the elements and overcrowded.

Pet Alliance officials said on the post, “Now over a dozen puppies and a handful of adult dogs are recovering at the Pet Alliance. Our staff have already given much-needed baths, flea prevention, deworming, vaccines, and bowls of delicious food, and lots of love. “

Officials said the dogs will be examined by the shelter veterinarian in the next few days.

While some dogs are in better shape than others, once the dogs are approved for adoption, they will be posted on the Pet Alliance website.
