€100k of drugs discovered in parcels marked as ‘clothes’ and ‘dog toys’

Over 6 kg of various types of illicit drugs were seized from the Dublin Mail Center today.

With the help of the sniffer dog Bailey, the tax officials seized drugs such as cannabis herb, cannabis resin, cannabis-infused edibles, ketamine and butane honey oil.

The officers also confiscated 180 diazepam tablets.

The drugs were found in packages labeled “Documents”, “Gifts”, “Exercise Equipment”, “Clothing”, “Dog Toys” and “Kitchen Utensils”.

The packages come from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Spain and the Netherlands.

They were for addresses in Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Clare, Kerry, Leitrim, Antrim and the UK.

The drugs are estimated to have a total estimated value of nearly € 107,000.
